About Us

Who We Are

The Tennessee Valley Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society serving Limestone, Madison and Morgan counties in north Alabama. Charted in 1985, TVAS became a 501(c)(3) organization in 2016.

Our Mission

The Tennessee Valley Audubon Society promotes the understanding and preservation of birds, wildlife and the environment in north Alabama through education, research and outreach.

TVAS is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization. Our volunteers engage children, adults and families in the enjoyment of north Alabama’s rich and diverse natural environment through fun educational hikes, workshops and presentations.
