Fallen Leaves Festival at Hays: Pond Life and Birding 101
Join us at Hays Nature Preserve for the Fallen Leaves Festival. Tennessee Valley Audubon Society volunteers will offer Birding 101 hikes and Pond Life, a chance to investigate the insects and other small creatures that live in the pond.

This fundraiser will benefit the International Crane Foundation and The Montessori School of Huntsville's Middle School program. Slated for the 2020-2021 school year, a Montessori middle school has a large outdoor education component as well a responsibility for environmental stewardship. Join us to celebrate growing outdoor education in the area and the return of the Whoopers to our region! It will be an evening of games, wildlife trivia, and community.

Birding by Ear
You often hear them but you can’t always see them! If you would like to gain some tips on identifying birds by their song, join us at the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Anderson Education room. We will start with some familiar backyard birds and we will introduce you to some apps you can download on your phone.
